If you have bought a new SD card, you must initialise this SD card before you can use it with TomTom HOME. If you bought a new SD card and it is not recognised by HOME (Windows) or on the desktop (Mac) but is not recognised by TomTom HOME, follow the steps below: When HOME is started manually, an SD card error occurs. In rare cases some files on your SD card may become damaged and TomTom HOME may not start automatically.
